John A. Ritchay, Jr. Co-Owner/Funeral Director

John, Jr. is a lifelong resident of the Wisconsin Rapids area. He is a graduate of Assumption High School, a graduate of U.W. Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in business finance, and a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. John joined his father at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids in 1980. In 1981 they purchased Feldner Funeral Home in Nekoosa, Wisconsin.

John serves on the board of directors at the Nekoosa Port Edwards State Bank and has served in various capacities on Nekoosa area civic and community groups. He is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa and currently serves on the parish council. 

 

John is married to Mary (our now retired Nekoosa Office Mgr.) They have three daughters, Amy (Tate), Vicki (Benjamin) and Jenna (Ian). Rounding out the family are seven grandchildren with an eighth due in November: Abbie, Brady, Cecilia, Lydia, Garrett, Ella, and Hudson. John and Mary enjoy Packer games, living on Nepco Lake and spending time with their kids and grandkids.

Michael J. Ritchay Co-Owner/Funeral Director

Mike is also a lifetime resident of Wisconsin Rapids. He is a graduate of Assumption High School, a graduate of U.W. Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in business finance, and a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He joined his father and brother in the family business in 1985 and manages our Wisconsin Rapids facility.

Mike serves on the finance committee for the Our Lady Queen of HeavenChurch and has been very active on various boards, committees and booster clubs for Wisconsin Rapids youth sports, Lincoln High School Athletics and U. W. Stevens Point Men’s Basketball (where sons Vinny and Joe have played). He was inducted into the Assumption Hall of Fame in 2004.

Mike is married to Patti and they are the parents of Vinny (Hannah), Jenny and Joe (Hallie). In their free time they enjoy going to Packer games, golfing, and traveling.

Phillip G. Nowicki Funeral Director

Phil joined the firm in 1999.  He is a native of Stevens Point and a graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH).  After earning an Accounting degree, Phil graduated from the Milwaukee Area Technical College Mortuary Science Program, and was presented the Edward L. Heidenreich award for Restorative Art and Embalming.
Phil and his wife Paula were married in Wisconsin Rapids.  Recently widowed, Phil and his two children Nick and Jacci enjoy the outdoors, camping, fishing, traveling and going to major league sporting events.  When not working, Phil enjoys supporting his children at their high school Hockey and Dance Events.

Aaron W. Ritchay Funeral Director

Aaron is the third generation of the Ritchay family to join the funeral home. He was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin and graduated from Green Bay Notre Dame Academy in 2003. Upon completion of high school, Aaron attended UW-Stevens Point and then graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in March of 2009. Aaron finished mortuary school at the top of his class and received awards for his academic and lab work in the fields of Business Law and Embalming. Aaron has been a licensed funeral director since 2009 and has worked with his uncles Mike and John Ritchay Jr. at the family funeral home full time for over ten years. Aaron has completed the necessary coursework to become a licensed life insurance agent in the state of Wisconsin in order to better serve families with insurance needs. He married his wife Jacquelyn in 2013 and are members of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Aaron and Jacquelyn have a son Maxwell and daughter Ava. During his free time, Aaron enjoys attending/watching Packers and Brewers games, hunting, fishing and spending time in the "northwoods" of Wisconsin.

Joseph Ritchay Funeral Director

Joe is another member of the third generation of Ritchays to join the funeral home.  He is a native of Wisconsin Rapids and graduated from Lincoln High School in 2011.  Following high school Joe Attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 2017 he Graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Il. and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer at Ritchay Funeral Home ever since.

Joe’s wife Hallie, a native of Vesper, works in the Wisconsin Rapids School District and they have a miniature Dachshund named Boris. Joe is an avid sports fan, and during his free time you will find him golfing, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

Timothy Radtke Apprentice Funeral Director/Director Assistant

Following in his father Richard's footsteps, Tim joined the staff at Ritchay's in 2017, shortly after retiring from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as an Engineering Specialist. Tim recently completed the necessary training and educational requirements to become an apprentice funeral director and is proud to be a part of the Ritchay Family's tradition of providing excellent personalized service to other families in the community. 

Tim and his wife Joan, both Wisconsin Rapids natives, have two grown sons and continue to live in the Wisconsin Rapids area. In his free moments, Tim enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren along with woodworking, auto mechanics, gardening, fishing and hunting.

Allison Mitchell Office Manager- Wisconsin Rapids

Ali is a lifetime resident of Wisconsin Rapids. She graduated from Lincoln High School and then Mid-State Technical College with a Cosmetology Degree. Along with working as the office manager for the firm she also is an independent stylist. Ali and her husband Shawn have four children who keep them very busy and involved in the community.

Aaron W. Ritchay
